Louisiana Designer Romey Roe Brings “Botanical Armor” to New York Fashion Week with Miss America 2027
Louisiana fashion designer Romey Roe presented his latest collection, Botanical Armor, during New York Fashion Week at Gotham Hall on September 11. The collection explored the evolution of the Romey Roe archive, reimagining past designs through sculptural silhouettes, crystal embellishment, handwork and dramatic movement.
The presentation marked a significant moment for the Louisiana-based fashion house, with Miss America closing the Romey Roe runway in a custom red gown. The show brought together a team of Louisiana creatives while placing the brand on a national stage.
Botanical Armor reflects Romey Roe’s philosophy of evolution over disposal, transforming existing ideas and archival pieces rather than treating fashion as disposable. The collection continues the house’s focus on bespoke eveningwear, craftsmanship and pieces designed to endure beyond a single season.
Following New York Fashion Week, Romey Roe is continuing to expand its national presence while his main studio is based in Lafayette, Louisiana. He remains rooted in expanding Louisiana's national recognition
and its creative community.
